Best tablet period! Made even better with a full keyboard folio.

After trying 2 cheaper 10 inch Android tablets and returning all of them due to slow performance and bad apps, I finally bit the built and spent the extra for an Apple. After two weeks with this thing it's clear that this is the tablet to get. It's simply unbelievable in the sense that it's so superior to other tablets I've used. It's performance is absolutely at the bleeding edge of technology for mobile computing. The user experience is so satisfying, much better than a Windows laptop or Android tablet. You just really are going to be missing a special experience if you buy a "different" tablet.
The screen is absolutely superb. Text and web browsing is just so smooth and crisp here; simply as good as it gets. It leaves nothing to be desired with the smooth scrolling and pinch zooming, it just makes you appreciate it more once you've used "other" tablets. It's apps selection is absolutely excellent, and the apps themselves are of incredible quality. The build quality of the iPad 4 are just simply industry leading, while I highly recommend a full screen protector and case just to keep it nice and pretty.
Using the iPad in your hands can get a little tiring, but this all goes away once you buy a nice folio case that can act as a stand. I purchased a full keyboard folio from Kesington, and the experience has went up ten fold
Gaming performance on this thing is very impressive, no lag in games period. Games like Nova 3 and Modern Combat are just brilliant on this display, and run super smooth.

The only con I can say is the lack of mouse support, and the hefty asking price of the iPads. But once you use it for a while, you realize the price is really justified in comparison to the experience you get with the other tablets. Also the experience is dramatically increased with the additional purchase of a keyboard folio case/stand. You simply can't go wrong buying an iPad 4th Generation with Retina Display. Definitely go for 32 or 64gb version though if you're planning on using a lot of the HD games.

Versatility, packaging, support & apps edge out Android tablets

A high tech toy that can be used for work. If you need a tablet for staying in touch with the office, home, friends and family this is a great tool.
Although Android tablets would fit the bill, the versatility of having a hi def screen and the ultimate list of apps lets me use my iPad for the kids when not at work.
My kids Skype to a best friend living in Spain for a year saving a ton on phone bills. The kids facetime to me on my iPhone when I'm running errands and also call my sister to say hello.
Is it a must need item? Short answer no. Long answer it's technology, packaging, support and depth of apps give it an edge for professionals, with the margin widening if you will use it outside work as well or with a good case on it for and with your kids.

This was a wonderful device!

I purchased this unit to replace the unit that I returned, since this is a much better unit: it has a 1.3 megapixel camera, versus the previous one that has 0.9 megapixel front camera, much better suited for Skyping. Unfortunately, I had an accident, with this unit being a casualty: I was on a cruise ship and it was accidentally knocked overboard. Not to worry: my insurance took care of it! I bought a replacement one with a white bezel and more storage space (32 GB), with which I'm very happy. As noted on another review, the only drawback with the iPad is that there's no room for expansion of storage space and you cannot just watch any video off-line that you want: it has to be compatible with the iPad. However, there is a workaround to that: watch your videos from a cloud Drive such as DropBox (ICloud doesn't work).

It just works! If you have anything else, you know exactly what I am saying

Doesn't include GPS and it will cost around $100 for a bluetooth GPS receiver like the Dual XGPS150A to do it right. It runs circles around my 3.4GHz Dell Inspiron XPS. Really! If i had known the real difference between Apple and everything else, I would have been eating Apples a long time ago. If the iPad is this wonderful, I cannot imagine how wonderful a Mac must be. Good Bye Billy Boy! Take your Windows and shove it! 1. Unlike Windows, it works. 2. Unlike Windows, it is useful all the time. 3. Unlike Windows, the interface though different makes perfect sense. 4. Unlike Windows, it doesn't crash outside the box. No screen of death. 5. It plays well with others. 6. Plugins are cheap, vetted, and easy to learn and use productively. Yeah, there is some culture shock.

ipad 4th Gen. amazing product

I bought it , because I trust I will get the real 4th Gen. ipad I am looking for through Ebay, because Ebay is protecting me and my purchases .the product price was fair , sharp images and videos with vibrant colors and rich details ,high-quality images with amazing clarity.and more important it is ' Unlocked ' so I can use it any where.
