I have had good experience with Apple products in the past, but it seems they are making crappier stuff every year, so I wasn't sure if I wanted to get back on board. For the money, I felt it would be possible to build a similar or more powerful customized PC. In the end, my need for a computer that would handle audio and video without a hitch convinced me to try the iMac, and it's been great!
Over all a very nice desktop, is extremely fast and does everything I wanted and more. Runs photoshop smoothly and the images are great.
This is my first Mac so took a little bit to get set up. I do like it. Still need to transfer old info off the HP to the Mac. I haven't figured that part out yet.
