Adds fast, efficient Intel Core i5, i7 processors, new Nvidia graphics, seamless switching between integrated, discrete GPUs...
At the top end of the price scale; still no HDMI, Blu-ray, or other high-end options.
Apple's 13.3-inch MacBook Pro keeps the same look and feel, but offers major internal changes, including an optional Intel Core i7 CPU, making it a very serious portable powerhouse.

The Apple MacBook Pro is a high-priced piece of computing hardware that has made a name for itself as the high end multi-media solution. I couldn't agree more on all fronts. It has standards that are still missing from most PC based laptops (illuminated keyboard, solid materials in construction, true multi-touch trackpad, etc.) as well as a seamless interface to connect whatever music peripherals that you would need for production, creation, and recreation. I've moved to PC twice for my music needs because of the low price for high end internals that would cost so much more on a MacBook, and I've learned my lesson. The headache with drivers and internal optimization are too much for me on a PC, I don't need to spend time optimizing more than I should have to. Even after the tweaks the PC still operates a little differently that doesn't feel as smooth. I will not be going back to PC for music needs...thanks Apple, NOW LOWER YOUR PRICES!!!
I bought the New Macbook three weeks ago and was immediately impressed with the Macbook. It has a webcam and I just love to have apple devise. The Mac Book size is perfect for carrying in a bag and the battery has a pretty good lifespan of roughly 6-8 hours. My only complaint is that the dock system on the laptop makes you quit confuse, if your first user. Other laptops I've owned have simpler and get you to important features easily. Overall, I'd recommend the computer if you're on a budget. I love Macbook, should you? Get one and it.
This now becomes my 3rd Apple laptop being purchased as means to an upgrade. I have no disappointments as to reliability issues when using this item. Item is quick and smooth, runs silent, bright screen, illuminated keyboard has brightness feature (nice). My only issue is the newer trac pad, having previously been accustomed to using an older model, my G4 Power Book. Old learned habits die hard, and once I relearn how to use (whoever said you cant teach an old dog new tricks was correct) my track pad, I'll be fine. For now it is a nightmare, difficult and hard to relearn the trac pad makes using the computer slow for me to use, since my finger gestures now have to be all relearned, not that I ever before had to give this much pre thought as to meaning where my fingers land on the pad, now I must. For the time being I am a creature of old habits, an old die hard. Since I purchased this item new I would have at least preferred some way to have choice when ordering as to features the trac pad contains or at very least a way and means now for me to turn off some of the finger gesturing options, to make pad easier to use, in this case more features is less! Overall still a good machine, but not built as rugged or as durable as the older more durable models once were.
Nice macbook, good size, upgraded to 8 Gb, all that I need for now. Great for managing and edit my pictures, the sound is not as good as macbook 15" but nothing to be worry about, the battery does not last 10 hrs but have pretty good and longer life as the other conventional laptop computers. the accesories as normally are expensive as any other laptop brands. ( but well.. it is a Mac).
In general a would say is a pretty good purchase and satisfy most of the basic needs. Am glad I got it.
This computer is the top of the line. It's the ferrari of laptops. You can't go wrong with a MAC. It's the way a laptop should be, anything less is a waste of money!
