I bought this product to experience all the Mac love, at a price that wouldn't cause me to die inside every time I looked at my machine.
Being, previously, only a PC owner, getting used to the Mac interface took some time. It's a very different user experience in comparison to a PC, but seems very intuitive for techies. Exploring all the differences (and cool features!) can be a fun process, for those with the time.
But i do have some issues--probably as a result of being a PC-to-Mac crossover user. You can't 'max' screen (but this is easily resolved), linking networks was almost a nightmare, there are compatibility issues with some files from, and the loss of 'right-click' was rather hard. I very much miss right click...
Major issues (perhaps they're restricted for just MY laptop, I don't know) would be accessing sites needing the most current java update (couldn't find for Mac! ugh!) and NO SYSTEM RESTORE (!). Time Machine simply won't run on my laptop, not sure why.
Besides nifty little features via the touch pad, a credit (or several) to this machine, would be its speed and look, despite being used. While booting up, or having a gazillion tabs open, this Mac runs along without missing a beat. I've downloaded a temperature reader, however, and and the readings imply that this laptop heats up fast, though you the user won't personally feel more than a little warmth. Moreover, as an Apple trademark, it's so lovely to look at. Popping a CD/DVD in the drive is so fun, it's sucked in, and attaching the AC power is amazing, since the connection is magnetic. It's also easy to type with, and i personally don't have a problem with the screen resolution, though others say Mac screens have screen glare in the sunlight. Lastly, audio is clear and loud, webcam is average, and battery power is fantastic. It is more than the 4 hours advertised. That is leaps and bounds better than other laptops I've owned, which didn't last 4 hours even when new.
Bought this used/refurbished by the seller. The seller noted flaws in the casing and screen but the pictures provided were worse than the item in person.
This is by far THE BEST Mac to buy if you're just starting out with Mac/iOS programming. This supports the latest Mac OS, Mountain Lion as of the writing of this review. Speedy enough for basic everyday tasks and packs enough bang for light gaming and other graphics/processor intensive programs. I'd say the only two things that stink are the maximum RAM supported, 4GB, modern computer systems should at least max out at 8GB (but this laptop is 4 years old) and the screen size, I think 15" is the perfect screen size (but in this respect the Macbook has been hooked up to an external monitor so not really an issue when I'm home.)
All-in-all, a great buy for someone who might need/want a Mac but not concerned with having the latest hardware.
Love this machine. Works wonderfully and is the perfect size versus what I was using. I returned it because we found the Apple which cost half of what I paid for the Toshiba... I had a brand new 15" Toshiba Satellite with these specs for $800 at Costco...

APPLE RULES!
This was an outstanding value for the money. The '09 13.3" MacBook is fast, and does everything I needed it for. The average price on eBay right now is less than $400, and it's really better than a lot of the newer PC Laptops available.
I bought this computer used for $349. I bought it to store photos, check email, listen to music and browse the internet. The value you get for the money is excellent. It is a relatively fast computer. Very visually pleasing. My only complaint is the battery. I would like a battery to last five hours and this lasts four. However, I knew this before I bought it and decided I liked other things about it enough to overlook the battery. All in all a good computer.
