Apple MacBook MB403LL/A is a real head turner. This little 13.3" screened baby weighs in at about 5 lbs making it super portable so you can turn heads anywhere. Upon start up I was impressed with the 1280x800 screen. While I've seen high resolutions from Apple this works just fine and the screen appears clean and crisp with an appropriate brightness level. I'm in a well lit office and the florescent lights are producing little glare. The integrated video card is a little bit of a letdown compared to the rest of the machine. It uses shared video ram and I think Apple may have skimped there to save a little money.
Let's face it. This is something that apple made back in february 2008 and it is just fantastic now in 2012. After much innovations and creativeness and all that improvements that we all can find in technology, processing speed of 2.4 GHz is still fantastic. I can no longer upgrade this mac further because it is an DDR2 RAM machine but it is good for school works. I got it for a super fantastic price on EBAY (YAY!). I had microsoft office 2011 already installed on the machine. It is just so wonderful. A 4.5-lb beautiful Mac and full size inverted T keyboard with truly multi touch track pad for under $500.00! Wow! I love it! Switch to Mac and you never go back.
Best computer I have ever owned. Battery lasts about 7-8 hours of constant use. It is very fast and can have multiple pages open at a time without slowing it down. You can download many different apps in the app store. Also I love the iweb. we designed our website with it and it came out like a website you would pay someone ridiculous money to design for you. Its very light weight and easy to tote around which is nice because its my new sidekick. I will be a Mac user for life!!!
A replacement for an old Dell that died, the speed and ease of use make this our go-to machine in the house. Although the original Dell was repaired and another Windows-based machine is in the house, this one has inspired my wife to become more computer-literate. We both use it whenever we are pressed for time on web-based inquiries. The only issue is screen size. We'd both like something larger. At first, my wife had trouble getting used to the flat keys on the keyboard but soon acclamated to them.
I bought a MacBook for my boyfriend so he could get used to the idea and not flip out a year from now when he gets the bill for the REAL DaddyMac I want. If this sounds devious it is. He's a PC user. I have to initiate him into the cult (community) before he'll agree to a larger purchase. So be it. Macs are great, this one is no exception. For one of the older models MacBook still delivers what you expect. Fast, user friendly, preloaded with iLife and Leopard. This was a no brainier purchase. My honey will be hooked within the month.
Victory will be mine!
