Amazing product - Amazing experiance !

Having owned both a Kindle Gen 2 as well as well as an iPad. I can say for myself with out a doubt this is the best ebook reader on the market.

People tend to blur the line of what a great ebook experience is. While devices like the ipad, smartphones, tablets and even the Kindle Fire allow for the use and reading of ebooks and they do what they do well they are not "great" - and that is where the paperwhite helps to elevate the book format. It is singular device that does one thing amazingly well and it makes no apologies for it.

In its simple design the paperwhite offers an amazing ebook experience allowing its inherent form and function guide you in to your books.

I find myself picking up this device more and more at random moments in my day, just to catch up on a paragraph or two of my current read and simply, this device has helped me to fall in love with reading again.

My first e-book reader, but it feels like a great buy!

Great screen to read books on, especially when sitting in the sun! The dictionary function is also wonderful when english isn't your first language, which is the case for me. Can't say anything about battery life yet, but it seems to last for a long time. The ads are really unintrusive and don't bother me at all. Downsides are that epub isn't supported, although converting is easy, and, as a swede, that the store is geared toward english readers.

Outstanding product and well worth the price.

My new Paperwhite is everything I thought it would be. I had a Touch, and the Paperwhite works the same, so there was no confusing trahsitional learning curve when switching over. The backlight provides an evenly lit surface and makes reading in any light very easy on the eyes. There are no shadows when reading in a dark room. My wife and I go to bed and read for an hour or so every night. Sometimes she stops earlier then I do. When she turns off the nightlight and the room goes dark, my Paperwhite is still easy to read and the light doesn't bother her. It is a great unit and a great buy. Highly recommended...

The Paperwhite is a excellent e-book reader.

I bought the Kindle Paperwhite because I think that Amazon gained so much experience with its previous e-book readers, that new products could only get better, and I was not disappointed. The Paperwhite is an excellent e-book reader! The resolution and illumination are a great new addition, making a page really paperwhite.
The only thing I would like to see more of, is better compatibility with pdf files.

Best money I have spent in a LONG time from an avid reader!

This is the best money I have spend in a very long time.....I LOVE my Kindle Paperwhite. I truly thought I would miss holding an actual book in my hands but I have not. And there are SO many free books which can be downloaded from Amazon.....no more trips back and forth to the library.
