I've owned 4 of these subs in the past, i started with two of the older kinds with the softer surrounds. Ended up putting one in a 1.3 cubed sealed inclosure and that thing was a TROOPER. I played the death out of it and it never broke, it flopped around the trunk and it never got damaged.
Now i have two of these newer kinds and they're just so much tougher. They sound amazing and you can get them for around 120.00 each. Everyone who's heard these subs knows the sound quality is amazing and they get very loud. They love large ported boxes but a small sealed one will work great too.
I recommend ported boxes about 3ft cubed and tuned to 32hz for the LOUDEST best sound. But thats a big box.
The point is buy em, they're cheaper than a lot of other subs and will last longer and take more abuse. Once you hook em up just don't worry about em, thats what i love about 12" type r's. :)
This subwoofer's great for the price! Even with just one in my car, it shakes the mirrors and makes your ear drums tremble. It adds a lot of depth, and I love the fact that it has Dual Voice Coils! If put in the right sized box, it can make a huge difference in your car's audio system. I highly recommend this for a high mid range sub!

oh, i like the ACTUAL SWR-1222D... but if this is a 4 ohm sub then it's a SWR-1242D. but the title says its an SWR-1222D which means it a 2 ohm and the description says tht its a 4 ohm sub so i wanna know which wun is true because i only want a 2 ohm sub... amps generally give more power with a 2 ohm load rather than a 4 ohm load so please let everone which wun is true before anyone bids on a 2 ohm sub without knowing tht it is a 4 ohm sub... thank you
