|Set in the science fiction realms of the film franchise crossover, Aliens vs. Predator is a high-definition action-adventure composed of tense, violent, kill-or-be-killed scenarios. Following the design concept of earlier AvP shooters, the game pits three different factions against one another. Players take the roles of deadly xenomorph aliens, stealthy predators, and heavily armed space marines, to do battle with enemies from the other two factions. Evolved to protect the brood, the alien xenomorphs are unmatched in melee combat, and excel at surprise attacks with their overpowering strength. Born of a species of hunters, the predator is a master of well-timed assaults and agile attacks. Physically weak but at a technological advantage, the human marines use heavy firepower to take down enemies from a distance. In many of the game's levels, warriors from all three factions must fight against one another in the same battles, at the same time.|
Players will have to fight hard to survive, but it pays to fight smart, as well. In some situations, characters can manipulate the environment, or accomplish other puzzle-solving feats, in order to put their enemies at a disadvantage. Single players take the roles of each species in turn, as they progress through the game's three campaigns. Multiplayer configurations are also available to Internet-connected gamers, offering the chance to play against other human-controlled warriors, in deathmatch and team-based competitions. Sega's Aliens vs. Predator was developed by Rebellion, whose previous work with the series includes Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem for PSP, the 1999 home computer game Aliens Versus Predator, and 1994's well received Alien vs. Predator for Atari Jaguar. In creating the game's three-pronged storyline, designers took special inspiration from the original films and from the Dark Horse comics series.
Packaged in a special steel case, the Hunter Edition of Aliens vs. Predator contains the complete game and documentation as well as a hardcover edition of Dark Horse Comics' original Aliens vs. Predator graphic novel, a Weyland Yutani corporation sleeve badge, a 3D image postcard, and an alien facehugger figurine. The special edition also offers access to four additional multiplayer maps: "Docks," "Outpost," "Machine," and "Hives."

I will get right down to it. this is a good game if you like all that AvP sci fi stuff or just good old shooter games, this collector edition has some verry cool extras in it. every thing from a AvP comic to a verry real looking facehugger. the case of the game comes in a steel book with a predator on one side and a alien on the other, imo it looks way better then the standred case. i would recommend this game to almost any one that can play these types of violent games :)
I feel as though this game was one that went unseen by many. If you're a fan of the movie, this is an amazing game. A little weak in the story department, but that is expected. Getting to play as a tactical soldier, a stealthy Predator and a swift Alien all in one game was quite a treat. This game is riddled with elements from the movies that all fans can appreciate.
This version of the game in particular is the Hunter Edition. It comes with a Facehugger replica, from the Alien movies, a Weyland-Yutani patch, a holographic image, a code for the Swarm Map Pack DLC, a graphic novel and an awesome metal case. Only the case and the replica intrigued me. The comic is well done, but it's short and somewhat forgettable. The replica is notorious for being broken upon opening new packages of this game. Mine was in great condition and it's pretty cool. The legs are pose-able, but I'm worried about bending them too much. Really though, my favorite part has to be the case. Alien on one side, Predator on the other. It's fantastic.
Highly recommended by me.
To begin I'm a huge AVP fan I have a lot of figures and what not. I got the hunter edition and i was dissapointed that my facehugger was broken as if the packaging caused it uhhh. eveything else was great though the comic and extras and what not. of course like the movies the storyline wasnt that great but the fact that you can play as all three species is awesome. defintely a must for any fan.i guess only thing that sucked was that my facehugger was broken fail on there part...
I am not happy with Sega. Due to a manufactoring error the facehugger came in damaged. After having contacted Sega and filling out their form, I have yet to hear anything back, not even an automated email saying they recieved my request. This has been over two weeks now. If you want the game, get the game. You dont need the hunter edition.
WHY!, why is the campaign soo sort? The developers took YEARS to make the game work and this is how they repay loyal fans? I personal love this title but I fell I've been horribly mugged by these fart bags who only care about profit, I've even heard they believe it was such a success, they want a part two. To rap it up, fans DO buy Hunter edition, non-fans, stay well away, you may be disgustingly disappointed. TANGO SUCKER GAME OVER MAN!
