Good price, good fairway wood
Created: 03/11/11
I bought the 3 and 5 for my uncle who is starting the game. I was browsing thru all models of fairway woods with price, playability, and a good shaft in mind. The Fast 10 fits all the criteria. Appearance is classic in shape and size, and the moss green is an attractive color scheme. The shaft is Aldila Wasabi which is adequate for a stock shaft. The feel/sound is a solid sensation with a nice click at impact. This club reminds me of the older RPM woods. Easy to hit without being monstrous. Lower in price than comparable woods without sacrificing performance.

Good Wood for little Green!

Golfers are dreamers and I am no exception. I know the perfect swing is just one new club away. Since I just purchased a Ping Driver that did not immediately turn me into a scratch golfer (not even close)it was determined the problem must be my 3 wood. No problem.... E-Bay to the rescue.
I've had several playing partners over the years that swear by Adams Golf Clubs. Indeed, the company seems somehow to appeal to the senior golfer more than most. I, therefore, decided to try the brand while not spending a small fortune on the experiment.
Adams Speedline Series Clubs evolve yearly and with each new edition a small change occurs along with the new fresh price. The New Speedline 10 I purchased is a several year old model but with a very discounted bottom line.
Upon arrival, my first impression of the club was the size of the head seemed quite small, almost hybrid sized. I wasn't sure if this was good or bad. Next I grounded the club as if at address. The head seemed to naturally close a little. Now understand, my address position may indeed cause this phenomenom. I tend to close my irons just a tad at address also. But the Speedline 10 almost begs to be slightly closed. The weight of the club was slightly heavier than anticipated upon seeing the size of the head. The grip felt comfortable and the Green Wasabi Regular Flex Shaft just looked right for the club.
My first impession on the course of the new 3 Wood was mixed. I seemed to miss the slightly larger head of my old Burner Bubble. The slightly closed head at address was still present as if this were a draw model club. Upon swinging the club the weight suddenly felt just right. However, a little distance seemed to be lost compared to my old Bubble and the closed head needed to be adjusted via my grip to prevent over drawing the ball. That first round was a month or so ago. Since then I've grown to realize the Fast 10 is truely a great buy in a fairway wood. This club does not require a mach 3 swing speed to be effective. In fact it lends itself to a slower more controlled swing. It will get the ball in the air quickly and draw or fade nearly on command. The distance has found it's way back and even improved after a little practice.
Overall, this was a good purchase. The Adams Speedline 10, in my opinion, is a good buy for the beginner to lower teens handicapped golfer.

Great Club

This replaces a old Adams Tight Lies Club. The new club is lighter and easy to hit with a lot more distance. A great investment.

Nice Club!

Very accurate description and great club. The pic didn't do it justice. Easy to hit and very light. Adams makes some of the best fairway woods out there. If you like a heavy-headed fairway metal...this is probably not the right club for you. The Wasabi shaft is nice. Not really impressed with the grip though. Seems slick for new.
