Get one if you can

I feel silly writing this, but getting an Adams Speedline driver has changed my driving to a degree I didn't think was possible. This club is a true high launcher, with surprising carry. Over the years I have tried almost every touted driver that came along, and some have been very good. For example, the Golf Gear Tsunami, the SMT, Alpha, Geek, TE, TM, Etc., were all great clubs, but none improved my accuracy and distance like the Adams. Maybe the Adams is just the perfect match for my swing, but what ever it is, this old golfer is back out there with the young guys when it comes to driving. Did I say I love this club? Specifically I like the neutral set up (not a closed face as some say), and the old style shaped head, but what I really like is that for some unknown reason I really do hook the ball less and hit it further with the Speedline.

Adams 9064LS Driver
Created: 01/02/11
I have used Adams irons and hybrids for the last 6 years and have had very good success with them (I'm an 8 handicap), but I wasn't happy with the inconsistency with my driver. I read some of the reviews of the Adams drivers and decided to try some of them. I hit the older 9032LS model very well on the range and, although they didn't have one for me to try, decided to get the newer Speedline 9064LS. I'm very happy with the driver and am glad I bought it (8.5 loft, Aldila Gamma stiff shaft). I hit it further, maybe 5 yards or so, than the Taylormade Burner I had used previously and hit it much straighter. I have a tendency to hit the ball very high and would lose distance into the wind. The loft and shaft combination on the 9064LS has enabled me to manage my ball flight better and maintain distance into the wind. Of course finding the right loft and shaft combination is always important, but I highly recommend this Adams driver.

Sampling the Speedline
Created: 02/06/10
I've put together 20 drivers over the last 20 years. Every shaft and head they made. Then I decided to buy a R7 when it first came out. I've bought 4 R7s. They are fine drivers but the shafts were too stiff even in the regular. So I like to sample what's out there. I don't like a lot of graphics on my drivers. That's about the only thing I don't like about the Speedline. Too much printing going on the underside of the driver head and the shaft.
This Speedline is just as good as any driver on the market. Head shape is nice from the top. Nice that there isn't any center mark on top. Face seems a little hotter than the TM and Cleveland. I think it matches my swing to a tee. At this price it's worth the purchase. I got the stiff shaft because I heard the ball goes high. With the 10.5 loft it really has a nice flight. Distance is very good but center of the fairway is better. It's straight. Good luck with your purchase!

Speedline Driver a solid product among giant clubheads
Created: 10/01/09
Among the maximum volume clubheads, the Adams Speedline 10.5 driver in its stock regular flex Graphalloy shaft is a solid, functional club. Fairly forgiving, fairly long, fairly high launching. For its price it is a good buy. Good head cover, good grip, shaft kicks when it is supposed to. If you have thousands of dollars to optimize your driver search, then start with those costing twice as much. But if you have a budget, then this model is recommended.
I cannot vouch that the clubhead speed is 3 mph faster due to the aerodynamics, as I am not a fan of big clubheads. But I hit it straight, and I hit it consistently. I think my ultimate preference will remain with my smaller-headed ERC Fusion driver.

That's the ticket

I'm a nine handicap.... I've been playing Adams for many years and have found it fits my swing very well.Since having my shoulder surgery I have found that my present Adams driver with a regular flex shaft was hooking more then I felt comfortable with. I purchased the Adams Speedline driver with a stiff flex shaft and so far so good. My accuracy has improved greatly with minimal lost of distance. I had tried more expensive drivers but for some reason the Adams line fits me best. Thanks; Adams for a quality product!!!
