This is the first season of the Ever So Popular 80 's T.V. hit show about 4 Vietnam Army Special Forces vet's,wrongfully convicted of a hanous crime they prove is against their nature. Season 1 shows the 'birth' of the brotherhood of these four men, each with their own unique character that blends them all into 1 very resourcefull band of patriots of the simple Americans freedoms. Each show illustrates how they in some way or another help innocent average everyday people tackle an infringement of their freedoms and injustices by crooks, extortionists, mobs, governments and your common thugs by using household items and hard to come by objects(always found by Faceman) and the brilliant plans of Hannibal Smith. They accomplish all this every time while constantly being chased by their nemesis Col. Lynch, who will not rest ,and hasn't for the past 10 years, untill he captures all the A team.Every episode they miraculously manage to escape the clutches of Lynch and completing their objective. This is a absolute must for every A team lover or anyone who has ever found the insanous and loving personalities of Howling Mad Murdock to brighten up their day after seeing just the glimpse of his face and that comes from it.The only one always complaining about our friend Murdock is The ultra strong, not to mess with muscle machine B.A. Baracus, better known as mr. T. After every nerve that has been shot by Murdock his heart & smile grow bigger and and brings the two together. All in all this is the first in a series of five DVD's and is a 'must have' for any collection and should be in everybody's DVD player. This DVD will will make you turn on your T.V. as fast as B.A.'s black 1983 GMC van escapes. Better complete your collection because after Season 1 you'll be glued watching untill you've gone through all 5.
This one of the best TV shows from the early to mid 80's. As it has been said the good old days of television. You won't see TV shows like this anymore. Today television is all about the reality TV show, where you watch people with no real acting talent. You watch them be themselves, or what they are in front of the camera, and make fools of themselves. Virtually there is no story or character. Following suit are the non-reality TV shows, they have adopted the reality style of story telling though. Many shows have alot of retorick, dialogue lines said back and forth, but really no connection of character or story. Plus the shock value of forensics.
The A Team is about characters with a story. Taken from the likes of Robin Hood and the Magnificent Seven. Every show our heros are doing a good deed, righting the wrongs, and fighting for the innocent and defencless. They themeselves, however, are on the run from the military for a crime that they didn't commit way back in the Vietnam War. Being a crack commando team, they are able to out run their pursees with their wits and team work. The characters are very funny together, especially when things do not go according to plan. Hannible loves to push the line to the edge with his oponent. Face could sweet talk his way into grabing the girl or a sherman tank in the middle of nowhere. Murdock is a -crazy, jibba-jabber, genius of a pilot. B.A. is the gold cladded muscle, with a right hand just as heavy for the bad guys. But he is affraid to fly.
The shows are fictional, far fetched, over the top car chases, bad doubles, but unforgetable characters and climatic style. Simply entertaining.
I love the upbeat, sassy, jazzy flavor of the show. Each of the four A-Team characters has their own strength, and interest... Of course, George Peppard delivers his usual excellent performance, as he always does in anything he appears in. Mr. T. is fun as the rough-personality he is, and Face, the con man of the group, and Murdock, the loveable insane asylum repeat escapee, just rounds out the fun and entertainment. Lots of shooting and chases, and cars exploding, but notice, no one ever gets hurt, or dies on the show, which is nice to see...You also don't see blood and gore... It's action, and adventure, and comedy, all rolled up in one... Great series; fun and enjoyable! I bought it because I am a fan of George Peppard, and never got to see the series when it originally was on TV...
I wanted to revisit the A-TEAM . Season 1 was where it all started and the show hit the ground running with great stories and the funny personalities of each member was developed very quickly. The female reporter (Melinda Culea0 who was part of the early SEASON epidsodes and than dropped in later over a contract dispute...I always thought added something to the shoW. Thatwas one of the factors in picking this season over others. It also includes the pilot with all the original cast excapt DIRK BENEDICT ...whom really was a major upgrad. Still the pilot is funny and set the tone for the show. ......which was .......In 1972 a crack commando unit was sent to prison by a military court for a crime they didn't commit. These men promptly escaped from a maximum security stockade to the Los Angeles underground. Today, still wanted by the government, they survive as soldiers of fortune. If you have a problem, if no one else can help, and if you can find them, maybe you can hire: THE A-TEAM."
I LOVE THE SHOW CAUSE I LOVE IT WHEN A PLAN COMES TOGETHER! ENJOY !
The A-Team is an old show from the 1980's and I must to see if you like adventure. I recommend the first season since you see how the episodes were released.
