4 Film Favorite - Superman (DVD, 2008)

After purchasing the dvd Superman Returns, I realized that I wanted to own all of the Superman films. I also realized after purchasing this dvd that I had not seen Superman III, but had just heard about it. Some folks may think I'm crazy, but I watched each one back to back! It makes me miss the acting talents of Christopher Reeve all over again...such a loss! Out of all the super heroes out there...The Man Of Steele tops the list of all time greats! I am very happy with my purchase and consider it money well spent!

4 film favorites superman 2008

I had renewed interest in the character of Superman due to the recent animated films my son purchases and the action figures that are soon to be released. Although parts of the movie are a little cheesy by todays standards (my only complaint)I enjoyed the nostagia of the Superman movies. Christopher Reeve is the perfect actor to portray this great American icon. He manages to make Clark Kent and Superman seem like two people and yet the similarities come through as you would expect a real life vigilantee to do. I enjoy watching Superman as a real hero. Putting others first and his own needs last. Superman is a great role model for us all. In my opinion Christopher Reeve is the ultimate Superman.

Superman films on a budget

This is NOT the remastered, reconfigured update of the four Superman films starring Christopher Reeves. I guess it is the "for rental" or "library" version of the four films. That being said, they are fun to watch again after all these years. We enjoyed them. There are only two disks with one film on each side of a double sided disk.

The transaction was seamless, and the DVD set arrived very quickly.

I bought this "4 Film Favorite - Superman (DVD, 2008, 2-Disc Set" because I always have liked Christopher Reeve, and I miss seeing him in movies. I have other movies he has acted in. I like his Superman movies enough to want to have them on hand to visit again whenever I want to. This set is nice if you only want the basics. The only thing that I wish was different about this set is that the 2 disks are double-sided with a movie on each side. They seem fragile, so I feel I must handle them with more care than usual. If one disk were to be too badly damaged, you might lose two movies rather than one. I would like this much better if it were on 4 disks. Something else to consider, too, is that its cost would probably not be as reasonable on 4 disks and with the extra packaging they would need. Nonetheless, I would buy a set like this again.

Needed more time for a credit

DVD's were promptly sent out to my grandchildren's home which is in another state. One disc worked and the other did not, not even on the two other dvd players that were in the home. I wrote to the company about a credit, and they required the disc be returned in 45 day's which was impossible as my grandchild just had surgery and my daughter in law was too busy to worry about taking it to the post office. It wasn't that much money and the kids did enjoy the first two movies.
