Radiohead: Thom Yorke, Jonny Greenwood, Ed O'Brien, Colin Greenwood, Phil Selway.Additional Personnel: Adam Cummings (guitar).Engineers include: Nigel Godrich.OK COMPUTER was nominated for the 1998 Grammy Award for Album Of The Year and won the 1998 Grammy for Best Alternative Music Performance.Photographer: Stanley Donwood.Unknown Contributor Roles: Colin Greenwood ; Ed O'Brien ; Jonny Greenwood ; Nigel Godrich; Phil Selway; Thom Yorke.OK COMPUTER, Radiohead's third album, is the bombastic follow-up to 1995's sleeper hit THE BENDS, which left critics and listeners as impressed with the band's ability as they were curious about their potential. In spite of its technological-sounding title and apocalyptic sci-fi themes, OK COMPUTER is firmly grounded in the rock verities. Waves of guitars rage beneath the haunting melodies and near-hysterical fits of singer Thom Yorke. This complex, intense swarm of guitars is held aloft by a solid, inventive rhythm section and an impressive array of piano and keyboard textures."Paranoid Android" is a six-minute-plus epic with alternating time signatures, wild dynamic shifts, drama and adrenaline to spare. "Let Down," with its double-tracked vocals and rhythmic throb, may give a brief glimpse back at Radiohead's past, but at no point is OK COMPUTER anything but a hurtle forward.

5 stars out of 5 -- It's a brilliant album....[V]isual, visceral and complete...
Record Collector

[R]eal songs and tunes, but ones that didn't shrink from the increasingly unlimited possibilities of modern music-making. In that sense, Radiohead were not only record-collectors but futurists...

...unlike anything I've ever heard....I definitley know it isn't good for me, and I'm certain it says more about my life than I'd like....in terms of composition and performance, it's very impressive. Radiohead have excelled themselves. They've seen the future.

...Shrouded in wafting guitars, swoony rhythms, and moody-blue strings, it shrugs off mosh-pit conventions for a poignant delicacy and breadth, with Yorke's cracked-throat voice the album's melancholy center....For all of Radiohead's growing pains...their aim--to take British pop to a heavenly new level--is true... - Rating: B+

A Superb Masterpiece

Radiohead is and will always be my number one band...

I am a person who loves all types of music...from country,electronic,classical,death metal,old school rap..etc

but radiohead is a band that sets themselves apart from everyone...their music is extremely beautiful...and full of expressive emotion and is pure art...

If you are new to radiohead...i would recommend starting from the song "Creep" and with the albums "pablo honey" and "the bends"....after ok computer...the albums get a little more complex...for deeper listeners.. but if you just want to get into them over all...this is defenitly one of their BEST albums..

I can listen to this whold cd without skipping a track...truly a masterpiece...sure...i can download it for free off the internet...but i actually paid for this album....definitely worth buying and enjoying

may you enjoy the best band in the world

Possibly one of the greatest albums ever

Everything about this album is amazing. It is a must have for any music fan. Radiohead has a way of creating some of the best music out there.

The music on this album is like none other. It has a mix of atonal distorted music with emotional lyrics thrown in. This album is also home to many hits such as Airbag, Paranoid Android, Let Down, Karma Police, and Fitter. Happier just to name a few.

My opinion. BUY THIS ALBUM! You will not regret it. Whether you like Radiohead, like Ambient or techno music, want a wide variety of music, or just plain wanna spend money ;)

Ps. The Bends is also a great album!

Exit review for an album

I had this album on tape and it's worn out. For the longest time I wanted to get this album, "OK Computer" on cd. This album makes me feel soothed after I listen to it when I am melancholy. I remember the video for "paranoid android." Ok Computer is, in my opinion, the best Radiohead album out of all of their albums.

"For a minute there, I lost my self. I lost myself."

OK COMPUTER

Great CD! Radiohead is my favorite group and this is the only CD of theirs that I didn't have. Subterranean Homesick Alien (#3) is my favorite song on the CD followed by the classic No Surprises (#10). Probably the best of their material...

OK for Radiohead

If you like Radiohead - you'll like this album. Paranoid Android is a lenghty tune that's all over the place - but held together well. A good rock album. This is Radiohead's third outing. They did a good job.
