1921 Morgan dollars are an excellent investment

The 1921 Morgan dollar. The Philadelphia mint produced over 44 million of these beauties, more than twice the mintage of the 1889 Morgan. Mintage of silver dollars was stopped after 1904 as the Comstock Lode flooded the market with silver and demand was low and bullion reserves dwindled. The Pittman Act of 1918 ordered the meltdown of 270 million silver dollars and the Morgan enjoyed a brief rebirth in 1921 before the Peace Dollar design was adopted. While many hardcore collector's saw the 1921 Morgan as a high mintage not-so-desired coin, it still contains .77 oz pure silver and is an excellent investment for the future. This coin was also produced at the San Francisco(S) mint and is the only year it was struck at Denver(D).

The Morgan dollars are always a welcome addition to my collection. This one was advertised as "damaged" which in the pictures & in hand, seemed farr les of an issue than was claimed. The coin retained the beauty & features I came to value in the other Morgan's i have. In fact, the obverse has most of its details easily visible & the reverse even more so. Nothing really lost here; the price was right; & I have one of the second-to-last year's round of this fine American silver dollar.

A piece of American History at a great price.

This coin was in outstanding shape. It looked much better than the picture. It is great to own a piece of American history like this. The last year the Morgan Dollar was minted was 1921, which was also the first year for the Peace Dollar. This overlap makes 1921 an interesting year. The 1921 Morgan Dollar is a great addition to any coin collection. One thing to look for when bidding on US silver coins is evidence of cleaning or buffing. This removes some of the details that make these coins so beautiful. Last but not least, all Morgan Dollars are 90 percent silver, so there is value built in to the coin as it contains .7735 oz. of silver.

The 1921 US Morgan 90% Silver Dollar is a must have for the coin collector and for those who are seeking an alternative to fiat paper currencies that are only backed by trillions of dollars of debt. Silver and gold have been used as money for 5000 years, especially during times of economic upheaval. The chances of a serious financial crisis in the near future are great and those who possess silver and gold coins will have an easier time than those who don't!!!
