I am very pleased with my Camera. I like the viewfinder that I can use on bright days with my eye outdoors, when using the LCD screen is difficult to use, because of the sun.
I just returned from Yosemite, and the pics are great.
I also like the size of it. It is compact, fits into a small pocket. The only downside of it, is that I do not have the option of placing the date the pic was taken, on the hard printed copy. The date and time is shown on the Camera and PC. I can however, before printing, with my software, put a the date on the hard copy before printing.
The Camera comes with a CD that contain software, drives, and the camera manuel.
I contacted Casio at 609 395 0154. and requested a hard copy of the owners manuel.
They sent me the entire manuel for FREE on white paper which I then cut down and made into a booklet for easy reference. Just be sure to request the exact model that you have. For instance, There is a Exlim EX Z4 and also a EXlim Ex Z4U. In my case, I needed and received the EX Z4U. This is the camera that was sold in North America. The others were sold elsewhere and appear to be the same camera, but there must be some small differences or there would not be 2 different manuels. When looking at the list of manuels,on the Casio Web site, look at the entire list because the Z4 and the Z4U our not listed near each other.
Yes, I highly recommend this camera
I havent found a feature that I dislike about this camera. I have a kodak easyshare 10x zoom, 8.1 megapixel, but it is a lot to carry around. I did some research on thin cameras and the EXILIM offered everything I wanted. I am a first time grandmother and wanted something that I could carry in my purse for those "I dont want to miss" shots! So the EXILIM seemed to be the best choice for what I wanted. Lightweight, thin, easy to carry at all times and still offer good quality picture. I have taken numerous pictures with the EXILIM and havent had a bad picture yet. I would recomment this camera to anyone. It is rechargable and holds a charge for a long time. I charged it when I first got it, approximately 2 months ago, and havent had to recharge it yet.
Good value and a camera that takes fantastic close-ups. I have the exact camera but broke the monitor while hunting. I also bought the newer generation Casio 8 megapixel from ebay and use it for camping. Casio makes some of the best point and shoot.
This is an excellent little camera. The picture quality is much better than the HP I used to have. The number one reason I bought this, though, was for the battery life. According to the literature, the battery is good for a couple hundred pictures at a time before needing a recharge. With my HP, I could put in a fresh set of AA batteries, take four pictures, and the batteries would be completely drained.
The leather carrying case is a little girly, and I'd love to get a silicone skin for the camera, but that's not a huge deal. My only other "complaint" is that there is no movie option on this camera, but I didn't buy it to take movies --- I have a digital video camera --- so that's really not a huge issue for me.
Overall, great little camera, good price, good quality. Recommended!
I decided to purchase a camera because my other digital was messing up, I was missing those once in a lifetime pictures and I choose this model because I heard a lot of good things about it. I wanted to try one for myself, and ever since I got this camera I have not missed any of those moments. This was an excellent purchase for me and my family.
