Hanging with my gnomies
In general you won't find me adding any sort of decorative pieces to our front or back yards unless it's a small garden flag or wrought iron butterfly. I'm not much into gardening and yard work in general, so I feel little need to spend any sort of time finding the right garden decor. But ever since that little Travelocity gnome made his debut, I've been intrigued by this little (literally) bearded man with his pointy (often red) hat. I've even gone so far as to hit up our local Color Me Mine to paint my very own gnome--or traveling gnome as I like to call him thanks to his rather large suitcase nestled tightly against his beard. I don't collect much other than shoes and jeans, so why not toy around with the idea of collecting garden gnomes? They aren't nearly as tacky as pink flamingos nor as creepy as taxidermy animals. It could be a lot worse.
