In case the first two installments in this scary movie series didn't spook you enough, "Paranormal Activity 3" is here to finish the job. With the ominous tagline "It runs in the family," the third entry in the popular "Paranormal Activity" series is a prequel set almost two decades before the original two films, which tells the story of Katie and her boyfriend Micah, who find their home of three years haunted by a creature in the middle of the night. Fans of horror and suspense, and especially fans of the "found footage" genre will enjoy this take on an origin story. Where did the haunting begin? How did the curse come about? The terror mounts as the mystery unravels on carefully assembled clips of grainy, shaky home video. Katie and Kristi, two sisters, befriend the mysterious and invisible creature named Toby that also calls their house home. Katie Featherstone reprises her role and is joined by Chris Smith, Lauren Bittner, Sprague Grayden, and Jessica Tyler Brown as Kristi and Chloe Csengery as the young Katie. "Paranormal Activity 3" was directed by Ariel Schulman and Henry Joost, the cinematic geniuses behind the pseudo-documentary hit "Catfish" and the subsequent MTV series by the same name.
