About MG Midget

Sports cars do not have to be sleek and sexy. The MG Midget is small in stature and cute as a button. This fun two-seater roadster is a sporty car with a removable soft-top that inspired a dynasty of mini vehicles. The original 1961 version has rear-wheel drive and a manual four-speed gearbox. The body is one strong, rigid structure, with a box-shaped boot. The angular theme continues to the squared-off rear wheel arches, a distinctive design feature that lasted until 1972. If you prefer softer angles, then choose one of the later MG Midgets created until the end of production in 1979. As well as a curvier shape, later models also offer a bit more speed, as MG improved the transmission to make the car more competitive with other fast vehicles. If you want one of these adorable sports cars to zip around town, then search the listings on eBay. Check out the selection of MG Midget parts for a restoration project.
