About 1970 Dodge Dart

The 1970 Dodge Dart represents the fourth generation of one of Dodge's most famous line of cars. Where it once started out as a full-size model, the Dodge Dart soon evolved into a mid-size and then finally into a compact model. Over the years, it constantly went through numerous changes, making this one of the most varied line of cars in automotive history. If you are in the market for a 1970 Dodge Dart, searching through the vast inventory on eBay is a smart way to find offers you are interested in. The 1970 versions are very recognizable by all the changes that were made from the previous year. For instance, there are numerous grille and contour adjustments made in comparison to the 1969 version. This was meant to make the compact version look more like the full-size version. You can see these revisions because the 1970 version has a much smaller trunk space as a result. The original 14-inch wheels are standard in this year, and the powertrain is significantly enhanced, replacing the previous Slant-6 with a 198-cubic inch, 3.2-liter version. The Swinger model is a two-door hardtop, while the performance model is the 1970 Dodge Dart 340, or Swinger 340, which has front disc brakes, heavy-duty suspension, all-vinyl bucket seats, and other high-end features. Be on the look out for the top powertrains for this year — the 383-cubic inch, 6.3-liter V-8 engine, which can hit an impressive 275 horsepower.
